I’m Shannon Kasmann, Owner and founder of MeowLuxe.  Prior to opening MeowLuxe, I worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years and was Owner of Kasmann Insurance Agency here in Columbia.  I have also been a long-time volunteer with Second Chance Animal Rescue and have always committed myself to try to positively impact the lives of community cats. Over two decades, I’ve fostered hundreds of cats and kittens, many sick, injured, or requiring socialization after rescue.  It’s my love of cats that led me to my vision to create and build MeowLuxe.

I had always noticed that there was something missing in the pet care marketplace.  A place where cats could enjoy luxurious, stress-free, happy cat boarding without cramped cages and the fear and sounds of barking dogs.  My goal is provide a compassionate, trustworthy and customized professional cat service. A new standard of cat care and peace of mind for cat owners.

As we grow, we look forward to contributing a portion of our profits to cat rescue, TNR programs and adoption services.

Hi! I’m Vicki, I have figuratively herded cats for many years as a project coordinator and event planner, but I’m now a true cat herder! I have been a cat chore volunteer with Second Chance since August of 2018 and a cat foster (specializing in special needs kitties) since November 2018. I have been a pet parent to many species including cats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, dwarf hamsters, a very spoiled bluegill, hermit crabs, fiddler crabs, other assorted fish, and even a jellyfish. I have a BS in marine biology with an emphasis is animal behavior – that should explain a lot of the pets!

Spending time with animals, particularly cats, is when I’m happiest! I love getting to know and spoiling all our guests at Meowluxe!
